Stewarding the Word

In this season it is important to spend time in the word on a daily basis. And when God reveals a treasure from His word it is important to steward it well.

This morning the Lord highlighted the Scripture John 17:15, from The Passion Translation: “ I am not asking that you remove them from the world, but I ask that you guard their hearts from evil.”, implying that we must impact the world in advancing kingdom realities while not becoming infected by evil.

So, since Jesus gives us understanding according to the Word which He has spoken (Psalm 119:16), I inquired of the Lord what this could be, and heard a whisper that it was to begin again to publish what the He has been revealing. This has been on my heart and mind of late, to activate the living word in my own life by sharing some of what I have been writing in my journal.

Now the word says that we are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12b). From the Passion Translation: “now you must continue to make this new life fully manifested as you live (the Aramaic literally means ‘push through the service of your life’) as you live in the holy awe of God – which brings you trembling into His presence. God will continually revitalize you, implanting within you the passion to do the good things you desire to do.”

On this journey I have become convinced of the truth that faith without works in dead (James 2:22, 26). If God is increasing my faith through His revealed word, then something is demanded of me; Jesus is the Word made flesh (John 1:14) and by His example and by His life within me (Gal 2:20) I walk the highway (Isaiah 35:8), an ambassador of the Kingdom.

As I begin to write, the prayer of my heart before God is found in Psalm 139:23-4: “Search me, O God,and know my heart; try me and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (NKJ)

On January 28, 2011, a word was given to me through a angel, the same angel who appeared to Joshua on the plains outside of Jericho. At the time I was on a Skype call with Paul Cox. I spoke out what I heard the angel say. Paul then wrote it down and emailed it to me the next day. I have held it until now.

“Word to Thomas from Angel

I have seated you above with Me in the heavenly places above all angels, principalities, and powers and from your mouth will go forth to the world and it’s kingdoms words of justice and mercy, cause for weeping and for gladness that you may be one of those who light the final fire. Your words will be filled with a wisdom that both covers and uncovers to the glory of the Most High God through the Holy Spirit. Know and be known. See through My eyes and cleanly discern what is uttered, thought, and purposed against Me and My own. For Me and Me in you there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, scattered that will not be gathered up and whispered that you will not say in the light. For you are a witness to me. Enter My glory that you may truly be a light in the darkness, a lamp that reveals what is hidden in dark corners so that rivers of mercy may flow from your heart and peace to those who see Me revealed in you.

I will make your heart a place of rest and I will bring My people there that they may refresh themselves before they continue on. You will be an overflowing font of mercy to raise those who are battered and storm tossed that they may live in hope. I hear the scripture from Hebrews, ‘For hope is the anchor of the soul, pure and steadfast, which enters the Presence behind the veil.’ I will fill you to overflowing and you will be forever full. Psalm 23 – ‘for goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life and you will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.’”

This morning, as I sat in the Lord’s presence I asked him: “What is it that you would task me to do?’ He replied:

“Write what you see your Father doing that people may see through your eyes and gaze upon that which I am doing in the earth. Tell them that I have sent you and then let them see for themselves. Each one must see for themselves, for in the days of salvation I will open ears and I will open eyes. My sons and daughters will learn to live on the high places of the earth, hidden from evil doers. Eternal life will be so real to them that they will know that it was for this that I created them in the womb of the dawn, before the earth was new. From everlasting to everlasting, by My hand and for My purposes it – has been forever so.”
